Day 16 after October 10, 2013 (for Amanda)

Day 16 (October 26) – Before you all give me crap about what time it really is, here are my reasons for being awake. About an hour ago, I finished writing my Tribute words to my daughter. It was both an easy yet a hard task. I wish I could read them out loud so that I could inflect the words and sentences the same way as I would when talking to her. Amanda and I had the strangest conversational tone. It was more bantering than anything. When others heard it, they would often question me on it. I just told them that was how Amanda and I were together. Don’t get me wrong, there was time for seriousness. It was just easier for Amanda and I to communicate in the way we did. In other words, it was something else we shared. So I did write my words. I think I did a damn fine job. I had help with the editing. My Princess Snowflake would be proud. I hope she listens really hard. The more I look at her pictures and see what she was able to accomplish, I realize what a beautiful young woman she was. To all those who agonized her, SHAME ON YOU!! I hope that those who acted in this way will look deep down into their hearts and realize their wrongs and correct them. You are the next generation and role models of the future generation. Make the world a better place and don’t let what happened to Amanda happen to anyone else. To Amanda – There are angels watching over you now and there is a whole army here on earth who are continuing your battle (including your mom) I LOVE YOU PRINCESS SNOWFLAKE!!

Dear Carol, Sometimes I think about how hard it must be for you to forgive Amanda’s tormentors, yet your only wish for them is to get a “clue,” but I really believe this is your nature, so please remember that you are the “example” we and they need.

  4. I remember reading this on Facebook. I still feel the same – as I did then. So sorry that you lost your daughter & so very concerned that her former bullies who called her names – even now – most likely don’t have a clue. I am really glad the kids in Coquitlam started an Antibullying Intiative.
