Day 20 after October 10th (for Amanda)

Day 20 (October 30) – This was sent to me from another wonderful friend – The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.

 I am too tired to post tonight. It has been a sad week after the private family memorial we had for her last weekend. I hope that Amanda is watching all from amongst the snowflakes. We are working hard down here to keep what she started alive.

Please help by posting articles, info about her Foundation, the song and video and anything else on your Facebooks, Twitters, Instagrams, etc.

  1. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was ever one of my favourites. It is true that those that have truly suffered deeply have special gift of compassion if the suceed in healing themselves. Whilst everybody suffers in life, there are degrees. A counsellor put it to me once as a twisted ankle versus a broken leg. A broken heart needs a certain amount of linear time to heal – much like broken bones. Once healing completes – a special level of sensitivity tow the suffering of other & especially the young and vulnerable remains. ♥
    When you experienced this awful, unacceptable loss of your daughter due largely to the cruelty of others – you opened your heart towards compassion for all those other children that need help too. And that is a good thing. You can be very proud of that. I believe it will make a difference.
