Day 34 after October 10th (for Amanda)

Day 34 – One month + 4 days (November 13, 2012)

Woohoo!! Thanks to the son of a good friend, half my Christmas lights are up. Too bad that it’s raining and slippery outside. Funny story from across the street, one of Amanda’s childhood friends kept pestering her dad to put up their lights as the Celebration Memorial is approaching. Slowly but surely, he did. Now to make it snow …..

What an interesting day? It was the Bullying Summit organized and hosted by Christy Clark and her government. I heard it went well. That there were things that got accomplished in it. Interestingly enough, Amanda Todd’s name was mentioned throughout the day. Christy Clark even mentioned Amanda saying “We lost Amanda and it was a tragedy but we should learn from that. She would want that from us.” Yes Amanda would have wanted that but she also would have wanted me to be there with her in spirit. That is just something not many people knew about Amanda and I in the last year. We bickered. We argued. We played. We swore at each other. We went to get our nails and toes painted (I hated it at first but she talked me into it). We did the make-up aisles together. We argued about what kind of potato chips to buy. It was all mom and daughter fun and I will miss it terribly.

This is a short and possibly boring blog. Going to bed now. Is it still raining outside???

Love you all.. xoxo”

Wow, sounds like me and my daughters, or anyone and their daughters I’m sure. Every word uttered about your precious child keeps her living in your heart and mind…and ours too…how could that be wrong?

Your last line you say it is a short and maybe boring blog, but i find it is blogs like these that i get the most out of. I just love learning these little things about Amanda. Since many of us never got to know her personally, i find it great that we can learn a little bit more about her and the kind of girl she was through blogs like these. Always enjoy pretty much anything you put in all your blogs along with all your wonderful words of wisdom. But i always will just love reading the stories you tell us about PS. Thank you for that.

It isn’t a boring blog at all.. it shows how much you love Amanda and how close you were even though you had those tough times like all mother and daughters do, Hugs.
