ABOUT THE INTERVIEWS
I never expected to have the day like I did today. My head is still spinning. Actually, it is hurting from thinking. It was a good thing that their was an article posted yesterday about this. I went to bed thinking about it. Only to be woken up early this morning by CKNW asking me what I thought about it. I quickly regrouped (woke up) and gave my thoughts. I stumbled down to my laptop and started to look through my social media to see what was happening. While doing this, my cell phone started going off. It was CBC in Toronto. Then CTV called. Then I got contacted by Global and City TV. Oh, and there was also print and radio. All the while, I wanted to get more answers about Beyond the Hurt and the Red Cross. I was able to connect with them and got some info and stats. I also connected with the Prime Minister’s office and also Minister James Moore’s person in charge. At the same time, I was FB messaging Minister Moore. I heard from his office that he spoke some really kind words about Amanda. And he acknowledged the fact that she and he lived in the same community. It is actually quite amazing how quickly things happen with social media. Connections can be made with social media giants like Facebook or Twitter. So from 11:30 onwards, it was rushing to one place to another. I am sure glad that I 1) don’t live downown and 2) don’t have to commute back and forth. I would get carsick via bus and train. Car is the answer but …
All the media people were awesome today. I love meeting new people and hearing the stories they have to share. It is all so seamless and at the same time, it fills my head.
Some of the questions today included:
1) What do you think of this initiative?
2) Do you think the program will work?
3) Is enough being done about the problems of bullying?
4) How will this initiative work?
5) What are the effects of bullying?
6) What are other significant things happening surrounding bullying/cyberbullying?
7) What did Prime Minister Harper say or promise to you?
And those are only a few of the questions. It was a very memorable time. Years go by and I am confident and hopeful that this program will work. Beyond the Hurt was developed in 2003. On a voluntary basis, schools could include themselves into the program. In B.C., approximately 50% of the cities/municipalities have the program accessible to them.
(I am so tired I can’t write anymore right now. I will continue this tomorrow)
Sorry …. xoxo

So proud of you Carol! Look at all the amazing things you and Amanda have accomplished so far!! I am certain she is smiling down at her amazing mom. Amanda lives on now and forever. To the haters and the abusers. You lose! She accomplished all she wanted to accomplish. Had to sacrifice her life unfortunately, to help protect all future generations, but guess what, her name will be written down in the history books! She’s our angel and a hero, you can never take that away from her. How about all you haters and abusers? What have you accomplished? Are you proud of yourselves? How rotten you must all be inside. Carol I know how angry these abusers must make you and I know that it must be difficult for you to hate on the haters, so here I go. I’ll do it for you. May you all rot in hell, there I said it. May your lives be filled with the same misery you caused her and her family. Like ugly prickly weeds, trying to crush and destroy a beautiful flower, guess what, destroying something beautiful and good, does not make you any of those things, it only makes the world an uglier place. Sorry I just saw the video “song dedicated to Amanda Todd- Elise Estrada” and every time I see pictures of your beautiful girl I get so irate! Stay strong Carol. Every step you make forward is a step in the right direction. Thank you for all that you are doing! We love you, support you and you have a village of people around the world supporting you, we will be here for you forever! ❤
