Thank you for coming to my blog and reading my posts. I am Amanda Todd’s mom and have found that by writing my rants and raves here, it has helped me to air out my brain and thoughts of all the things that are weighing it down. Amanda’s death has affected the world and beyond. I have decided write my blog and put it out publicly. As the world knows by now, we live in Port Coquitlam BC. It is a wonderful place to live. My community has been so supportive and also so protective for me and my family. We feel so SAFE here. Unfortunately, the world is not always made of kind and empathetic people. If they were, Amanda would probably still be here with us. Instead, I have to spend each day missing her and carrying on her message of being kind to others and decreasing the bullying.
If you read my posts and want to leave a comment, I will only take happy ones. As Amanda would say, if you are a ‘hater’, there is no place for you here.
Here is her video which sparked the world – Amanda’s You Tube video (September 2012).
Here is the video of the Celebration of Life Memorial service that was held for Amanda on November 19, 2012 @ Red Robinson Theatre.
Amanda Todd Legacy and Memorial Foundation (Vancouver Foundation) – Her dream of helping kids is being carried on in the Amanda Todd Legacy, established by her family. This initiative will raise money for anti-bullying education and for support programs to help young people with mental health problems.
Remember to always ‘smother the world with kindness’!!!

I love the work that you have done and that you have ‘stayed strong’ though it all, i may have only just go into depth about Amanda but she seemed like such a beautiful soul and i love her music! (Maybe shes a famous singer up there?) I cried at first when i had seen the videos and read the story and it amazes me as to why people can be so cruel! I hope to one day come over and visit Amanda’s bench (Will bring some gifts) and just wonder around as it seems like a beautiful place to visit. (I’m in the UK 😦 ) and have also considered getting the snowflake tattoo (I’m 16 so i cant yet). The story touched me and i think that all of you are amazing! Maybe i will walk into you whilst im there! I think that would be awesome as we could go to 5 guys as i have always wanted to go there (Might be a bit over my head?)
Anyway keep up the good work!
Amanda is up there with all the greats and i cant wait to meet her! 🙂

As we celebrate this month as the internet safety month, lets do our best to spread the news and stay safe online this summer.
Please let me know what you think. And if you can feature it on your blog, I’d be really thrilled! 😀

Dear Mrs Todd,
First of all I want to apologize for my bad English. My name is Dominik and I am a 19-year-old boy from Germany.
The story of your daughter touched me so deeply. Since I have been seeing Amanda’s video in October I have to think of her every day. It broke my heart! From time to time I must cry because she had to suffer so much. No one deserves this! It just makes me sad to see that people are able to do something like that to another person and they don’t care how the other feels thereby.
I wonder a bit how you can be so strong. Although you are in mourning you help the many other people that fare like Amanda. I am very happy that you don’t hide in your sorrow but campaign for other. I undertook the same.
The world around us is so cruel – and every day it gets worse. But what gives me much power is a thought out of the bible. Revelation 21:4 says: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” God promised a resurrection and unending life in a paradise on earth. And he keeps his promises!
Imagine! Someday you can see your loved daughter again! Isn’t it wonderful?! Every day I thank God for the chance to get to know Amanda one day. He will act soon and destroy all angry people who cause so much grief and harm today. Afterwards he will raise all the deceased from the dead to an endless life in love and peace. And in contrast to us he can remember every individual characteristic of a person.
One of my favorite texts in the bible is Jeremiah 31:13. God says here: “And I will change their mourning into exultation, and I will comfort them and make them rejoice away from their grief.”
I crave for meeting Amanda in the promised new world and I pray every day to God that I have the strength to remain loyal to him and hold out till then.
Please stay strong! The prayer is a real help thereby and it gives peace of mind! In Psalms 55:22 we can read: “Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter.”
I would be so enormous happy if you would answer me.
Affectionate regards from Germany
Mom and Daughter out and about in White-Rock.One of my favourite pictures.
It amazes me that every picture I have seen of Amanda has her smiling so beautufully….I would not have thought that I would be so touched by the story of a girl I did not even know. From one mom to another, keep up the good work on behalf of Amanda.
This has always been my favourite pic. ever since I first seen it…It just l@@ks so carefree.
And you are such a wonderful, strong lady…I love the work you are doing in your “Princess Snowflake” s name,

hi Carol. I was so shocked to see and hear what your daughter did. I am so upset right now. The tears are moving down from my face onto the keyboard. Did she not have a family member to talk to? She could have talked to many on here, even a family pet or sister? Any friends who was that friend in black why did she not stop her? What was her problem? I am so very upset about this. you have no idea. we lost another gal Rebecca Ann Sedwick she was a good kid.. too many kids dying because of being taunted. why is this coming to this, I was taunted as a kid too did I go kill myself. no I went on and moved away from nuts and I made it, with the help of talking to my parents. they were right there is a lot of jealousy when we were kids.. no one belongs to no one.. I think you need to get with Trica Rebeccas mom to put a new bill into action for kids who bully girls and boys and if they do this they go to JAIL.. .no questions asked.. even if the kids did something stupid.. I am so upset with your daughters action but its the things she did all she wanted is to be loved that’s all…and she could not even get that. I am so sorry for your loss… we must stand and get a bully law for your kid and for the sedwick family too. in groups we can get this done.
