Dear Carol,
My wife and I have recently written a song about bullying called bully inspired by Amanda Todd. I know that you live in the area of Port Coquitlam, which is also where we are located, so if you are interested, we will play this song at an open mic or a show in the next few weeks, so that we can test it and practice it, as we will perform it live at Melodies in Mind, CJSF 90.1FM on September 17th 2013.

hello, I was so sorry to hear what happened and it stuck with me… I then watched the documentary bully, and realized i have had suicidal thoughts and have many friends who felt hopeless as well… I wrote and recorded a song for anybody who wants to take their life…I pray this song talks them out of this…Amanda was on my mind during this writing process so her spirit is in this song!!! I’d like to take a moment just to dedicate this to Amanda’s Family, I can’t even begin to imagine how it feels to lose a loved one. I only found out about Amanda a few days ago through the radio (from the song Wonder Woman). I decided to look her up then found her story. How tragic! Being a bullying victim myself, I can know some of the stuff she mustve felt but just how bad things got is just so unfortunate. Carol, if you have time and you do see this, I would like to talk to you. But thats enough rambling, I am dedicating Michelle Branch’s song Everywhere to you and the family, as well as Amanda. I wish the best for all you, and you’re in my thoughts.

I love Dan Fogelberg. I think I listened to him in the late 70’s/early 80’s too. Does that date us for age????

I hope you don’t mind Carol, but this song is for you. Don’t know if you ever heard of Dan Folgelberg (1970’s to 1980’s) but he was a beautiful folk-singing artist who wrote very profound lyrics. My favorite of his is called, “The Plan.” I have always found comfort and strength in this song…I hope you can also.

Dear Carol,
I have only found out about amanda’s story about two weeks ago. I was really stricken from her story and from the comments she has received. I am a musician, so i processed my sadnesses and anger in the only way i know how – into a song.
I hope this will bring you some comfort.

The words to these songs are so powerful and hold so much meaning in a very relative way. I love this section of your page.
