February 11 – A really nice letter for Amanda …

February 10th, 2013

Dear Princess SnowFlake

It has been exactly 4 months today since you have left us to the heavens and also the day the rest of the world had first learned about you and with the days that followed. You have touched the hearts and lives of so many of us from all around the world. So many of us who never had the chance to know you in person. There is no doubt in my mind that if so many loving and caring people from around the world would of seen and known about your message prior to the 10th of October, we all would have made every attempt in reaching out to you and do everything possible to intervene and encourage you in keeping strong. I can honestly say that the world just hasn’t really been the same ever since that day. So many of us now have an emptiness in our hearts, and very sad feelings knowing that you have left us. On a comforting note,We now know that you are no longer struggling, and now free from pain that was brought on to you that you should never of had to go through. All of the one’s that were so cruel and mean to you can no longer touch or reach you now. Your mother had once said “you have left behind a larger than life message” and an ongoing Legacy that will forever continue to grow. You have taught us all so much about humanity in general and the importance of being kind to one another. In your Honor we will forever continue on spreading your message and keep your Legacy going. A movement has begun towards Anti-Bullying in your Honor and many people have jumped on board including people within the public eye. You are missed by many, you are loved by many, Family, friends, and many people who have never had the opportunity to know you from around the world. We know you now, and your message is loud and clear, you have been heard, and more importantly, you made a difference; for that, we are forever grateful.

Rest Peacefully Amanda Michelle Todd (AKA Princess Snowflake)

~Tristan

To Tristan, i didn’t mean your “writing” of the last line was too long because of how you wrote it…I was making fun of myself for calling it a “line” when it is clearly a paragraph! Most of us, (also me) don’t bother indenting for new paragraphs on this site…it’s not an English assignment thank goodness! Sorry for the confusion, I would never comment about beautiful words from the heart…none of us are English majors are we? My emotions are always stirred when you write. i reposted at bottom…hope you see this Tristan.

Hi merle48, i got your message :). Its all good! My apologies, i may have misinterpreted your comment at first glance. But i had no worries about it either way. I meant my grammar comment in a humorous “good” way. Also another good example of me hitting the post button a little too quick LOL ( something i think i do to often). But at the same time, it gave me the opportunity to point out that im aware and i can admit my writting is sometimes not the greatest. Thank god this isnt an english assignment lol. Its funny, my wife’s first language is french and she corrects me on my english all the time. I tend to laugh about it :).

“I never had the opportunity or the Honor of meeting or knowing Amanda Michelle Todd but her message and legacy has left a permanent mark on me in a positive way.” I believe I meant this one…which is a very LONG line! Haha Sorry about the confusion.

lol I can admit, my grammar is fairly poor. It was never one of my strong suits but i tried. Speaking of Amanda tends to make me speak from the heart. 🙂

To Tristan, What you said in your last line gave me chills. I swear there are a bunch of us who were touched by Amanda “above and beyond” the call.

You are absolutely right Tristan, if only we had known before the sad facts! I still rehash this…”if only…” I guess that is our human nature, so how much harder it must be for her loved ones? You said it so well, the way many of us feel about Amanda. I’m so glad to know of others such as yourself who care as much as I, a stranger does. To me it is a beautiful mystery.

Thank you merle48, and thank you Hamsi, I appreciate your comments and im glad to know that you can relate to this letter in how you feel. I always love reading your comments that you post on Carol’s other blogs as well. I want you to know that i often can relate to many of the things i see in all your comments as well in terms of feelings for Amanda or Carol and the rest of the family and friends. I love the line you used in the ending of your comment merle48 “To me its a beautiful mystery” I know just what you mean and i feel the same. I never had the opportunity or the Honor of meeting or knowing Amanda Michelle Todd but her message and legacy has left a permanent mark on me in a positive way. ~Tristan
